As the election results started showing in favor of Biden, many voters had one question in mind – is Donald Trump going to leave the White House without creating a ruckus?
Predictions are flowing in – some think he might make the best out of his final days in the office, others wonder whether he is going to boycott Biden’s inauguration. Even though Trump hinted at a chaotic power of transitions before the election, it is very unlikely to materialize.
On the other hand, half a dozen lawsuits are looking at Trump because he got into an avalanche of legal turmoil during the first term. The New York state attorney general might open up the case of the president falsely valuing his assets. Letitia James is going to investigate the claims of the president deflating “his assets to reduce his real estate taxes.”
A few fatal defamation lawsuits are also on the way – E. Jean Carroll’s allegation was Donald Trump had raped her and Summer Zervos allegedly accused him of sexually assaulting her.
But the Trump campaign is still looking for court challenges. They have a few court challenges pending and are trying to find ways to recount the votes in 6 crucial states. Of course, Biden’s campaign has vehemently opposed.
On Wednesday, the Trump campaign filed a lawsuit citing “multiple witness accounts of irregularities, incompetence, and unlawful vote counting” in Michigan.
Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel, a well-known Democrat said, “Let me be clear — the November elections in Michigan ran as smoothly as ever.”
“Irregularities occur in every election, but there are multiple layers of protection to ensure that these irregularities are caught and rectified.”
Now, it is only a matter of time how Trump chooses a peaceful transition over amid the chaos.
