Poland Needs to Calm down before Discussing Anti-Abortion Rights

A few days back, Poland has witnessed a historic event as people took over the streets to protest the controversial abortion laws. The catholic nation saw the widespread outrage against abortion rights in the first; however, the fury broke out against the Law and Justice (PiS) government and the conventional policies.

At a news conference, Piotr Muller said, “According to the regulations, the judgment of the Constitutional Tribunal should be published in a timely manner.”

“At the moment, however, we all need peace and discussion around this judgment, a quieting down of the public mood and discussions among experts.”

On Tuesday, a source told that Poland required a state of calm to go over the court’s ruling. The top aide of Mateusz Morawieck said, “There is a discussion going on, and it would be good to take some time for dialogue and for finding a new position in this situation that is difficult and stirs high emotions.”

 The political climate takes a fatal turn with increasing tension. However, the well-strategized slowdown targets a new flush as the government puts focus on lockdown measures.

“We hoped the protests did not lead to so many new infections, but all the signs in heaven and earth, along with recent data show that they led to more cases,” said Morawiecki.

The Polish Prime Minister has hinted at stricter lockdown because the protests could nudge the transmission. He said, “I’m asking everyone who wants to protest to please protest on the internet.”

Poland has recorded 24,692 infections and 373 deaths on Wednesday. In recent times, the country has seen 5,000 new cases emerging.
