Apple has dropped four new models while giving the latest glimpse of the iPhone 12 during a virtual conference on Tuesday. The latest iPhone introduces a revamped look with a cutting-edge face unlocking and breathtaking screen technology.
This year’s series brings a myriad of colors, 5G wireless support, and more models. Apple informs that the preorder for iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro will open on Friday. The iPhone 12 Pro Max and iPhone 12 Mini are going to be available from November 6 and November 13 respectively.
Mr. Cook focused on the “super fast” 5G while shedding a light on the “new level of performance for downloads and uploads.” Even though he stressed on the speed improvements, his description did not meticulously focus on specifications.
“Every decade, there’s a new technology that provides a step change in what we can do with our iPhones,” the CEO said. “Today is the beginning of a new era for iPhone.”
The new lineup is smaller, lighter, and thinner while it offers Super Retina XDR display. It has the A14 Bionic which was previously used for iPad Air.
Apple also said there would be no headphones and power charges included. It might be clouded as a hint at environmental concerns – people are skeptical. This can be another way to indulge people in splurging more for the accessories. The phones would come with a USB-C cable.
The iPhone 12 Mini is said to be available at $699, iPhone 12 at $799, iPhone 12 Pro at $999, and iPhone 12 Pro Max at $1,099.
